Pick a ready-fired piece and paint it your way. Our creative director guides you and shares the tricks and techniques she uses on Mellow Out's own pieces.
Paint your own ceramics
Choose a ready-fired piece from our selection and paint it with our glazes. We fire it in the kiln, so it's ready to use. No experience needed.

How a workshop works

Book a date
Pick a workshop and a date online. You get a confirmation email straight away.

Pick your piece
Choose a ready-fired cup, plate, candle holder, vase or something else from our selection.

Paint it
We show you how the glazes work, then it's all yours. Brushes, glazes and aprons are ready for you.

We fire it, you pick it up
Your piece goes into the kiln and is ready about [2] weeks later. We'll email you when it's done.

Our studio at Sectie-C
Workshops take place in our own studio at Sectie-C, a creative workspace complex in Eindhoven. It's the same table where every Mellow Out piece is made.

Good to know
Do I need any experience?
No. You don't need to be good at drawing or painting. We show you how the glazes work and help you along the way.
Can I cancel or move my booking?
You can move your booking to another date or cancel for a full refund up to 48 hours before your session. After that we can't refund your seat, but you're welcome to send someone in your place.
Can I eat or drink from what I make?
Yes. Once your piece has been fired, you can eat and drink from it.
Can I give a workshop as a gift?
Yes. Buy a Mellow Out gift card and the person receiving it picks their own workshop and date.
Which language are the workshops in?
Our open painting sessions are in English. Private sessions can also be held in Dutch on request.
Is there a minimum age?
Our workshops are suitable from age 8. Children under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult.
